Mackenzy is 8 months old and getting the hang of her scoot/crawl! She's getting faster everyday and is slowly beginning to figure out how to move without her belly on the floor. She'll get into the crawling position and rock back and forth but can't figure out how to move forward yet and will drop to her belly and scoot along. It's very funny to watch!
She finally began teething for real this time. She's been drooling since about 3 months old and chewing on everything, but about 2 weeks ago I noticed her gums were really red and swollen... She currently cutting two bottom teeth at the same time and I really hope the come all the way through soon. She's been taking the pain like a champ, but at night her teeth seem to really bother her and a dose of infant Tylenol is the only way she can get any sleep. Poor thing :(
Mackenzy's other new skill is to pull up on everything including her crib! I put her in there for a second so I could grab some clothes for her and she immediately pulled up and smiled, sort of... This is the smile I've been getting lately because her teeth hurt and she sucks on her gums...
Since she can pull up really well now, I decided to lower her crib 1 notch just to make sure she can't escape. The good thing is that the crib is now low enough that she can't get out, but now she can see me easier when I check on her...
I've seen the crib teething covers in the stores and thought they were kind of silly. Not any more! Apparently the crib was just what she needed! Yum!
