25 weeks and 4 days!Today I went for my monthly check up and I had to drink this very sweet drink for a glucose screening. The drink is supposed to show how my body digests sugar and if my body doesn't digest the sugar correctly in 1 hour then I could possibly have gestational diabetes- my test came back normal (Yay!). Also, my midwife measured the size of my uterus with a tape measure which was kind of cool and I am measuring at 26 weeks which is 3 days ahead of my EDD (estimated date of delivery) so that was surprising! Also, I got to listen to Mackenzy's heartbeat through the doppler device and she kept kicking the doppler off of my belly! After several attempts, we were able to get her to stay still and hear her heartbeat which is normal (Yay!).
Overall I am doing beautifully and her growth is progressing as it should. I have to start going to the doctor every 2 weeks now since I am nearing my 3rd trimester. Everything is going so fast, but it's all very exciting! Luckily I'm finally out on summer break and I can rest and relax for the next 2 months or so!
